E-library and quality assurance in federal government colleges in Rivers and Bayelsa states, Nigeria

This study was to determine the relationship between e-library and quality assurance in Federal Government Colleges (unity schools) Rivers Bayelsa states, Nigeria. The population comprised of teachers students (SS3 JS3) six unity schools States Nigeria numbering 3186 (teachers 1019, 2167). A research sample 637 used through proportional stratified random sampling technique using 20%. self-designed questionnaire known as E-library Quality Assurance Questionnaire (ELQAQ) elicit information from respondents. Three questions one null hypothesis were formulated. Mean, rank order, standard deviation z-test find solution hypothesis. major findings include that Ministry Education (F.M.E.) is a pacesetter education, library (print or non-print/digital) heart beat school system it increases ones reading habit, has capacity storing large content which can be accessed anywhere, not all (under study) have functional e-library, print still useful, prefer blend both their advantages. Based on these findings, recommended should relegated but upgraded periodically complement digital for service delivery, endeavor complete equip e-libraries planned, Inspectorate division F.M.E. always inspect facilities assurance, more qualified ICT recruited (as model promote computer literacy implement effective regular building maintain qualitative education as  produce students.   Key words: College, library, assurance.
